MEMBER & CANDIDATE VALUE:The responsabilities of the Governance Commitee include:
Review and update Board Handbook to ensure that it is consistent with Society Bylaws, review policies and procedures to ensure that they are in the best interest of Society members, recommend amendments to Society Bylaws as appropiate, ensure that any Board activities of decisions where there may be perception of a clonflic of interest are properly adresset in the Board meeting minutes with reasons clearly stating as to why such actions were in the best interest of the Society.

Veronica Armas, CFA EMPLOYERS & JOBLINE: The Committee develops partnerships to bring leading companies and executives to our career events. It builds connections with a wide recruiting base across a diverse range of sectors and functions within the financial services industry and seeks to provide extensive and continually-enhanced career education programs and workshops that provide our member with specific skills and knowledge for a successful job search and help employers find the best candidates.

Gianfranco Mantelli MEDIA & EDITORIAL The Communications Committee is active in ensuring members of CFA Society Chile receive pertinent information. Activities include writing and publishing the quarterly newsletter, updating content on the website, and developing our social networking outreach efforts.

Charles Buchanan, CFA UNIVERSITY RELATIONS & SCHOLARSHIPS The University Relations Committee seeks to build awareness and promote the value of the CFA Charter program to local universities. It facilitates networking opportunities between CFA candidates and Society members and encourages university participation in the Local Research Challenge. This committee also organizes and coordinates the Local Research Challenges. The Chair leads the Scholarships sub-committee.

Rodrigo Díaz, CFA ADVOCACY The Advocacy Committee coordinates local advocacy outreach efforts, and is the primary communications point for CFA Institute advocacy initiatives, ethics, standards and policy issues. A primary role for the position is to organize and lead a local Advocacy Committee in the planning and implementation of local advocacy activities potentially to include Member Education, Industry/Investor Outreach, and/or Regulatory Policy and Research.
